Ist ein dBase für 64 bit in der Pipeline?
Quoted
The major contributor to the delay was the need to get the dBASE C++ source code ported fully to
compile under the MS Visual C++ compiler (rather than the older Borland C++ compiler that we've
been using for many years). This step took a good deal longer than we had estimated.
Completing porting our code was critical for several reasons:
dBASE Plus builds created with the new compiler fix some compatibility problems with
Vista 64 bit and Windows 7 64 bit. Specifically, the Source Editor crash is fixed with this new build.
The new compiler comes with much more up-to-date libraries than the older compiler.
These libraries make it much easier for us to access newer features in Windows and to use them
to upgrade the look and feel of dBASE to take advantage of them.
The new compiler libraries have also been made more secure and many bugs have been fixed
within them.

dBASE Plus 2.61.5 will run on Windows 7 - 64 bit but with the Source Editor not working
unless you use one of the compatibility modes.
The next release dBASE Plus 2.62 fixes the Source Editor problem and a bunch of other issues
and will be released very soon as we are preparing installers this week.
